Introduction: This is Tommy. He has terrible teeth. Tommy likes to eat a lot of candy and junk food, and he doesn't always brush his teeth like he should. Tommy needs your help to learn how to keep his mouth happy and healthy.

Task: For this project you will be working in groups of 3. Each person in the group will choose one role, either Dentist, Dental Hygienist, or Nutritionist. Once you have chosen your role, you will find information that Tommy can use to keep his teeth Healthy. As a group you will use the information you have found to make an instruction booklet for Tommy to keep with him at all times. Choose your role, and then click on the pictures to find information.

It is your job to teach Tommy the parts of a tooth. You will also have to show Tommy what can happen to his teeth if he does not take care of them.
It will be your job to teach Tommy the proper way to clean his teeth. He needs to know how to brush, floss and how often he should be visiting the dentist.
Healthy Habits
It is important for Tommy to know what foods can harm his teeth. It is your job to teach Tommy what foods he should and should not be eating to keep his teeth healthy.
3. Once you have found your information, each person in the group will create their own page of the instruction booklet. Be sure to add pictures that will help Tommy understand what to do. You will then share your information with each other. Staple the finished pages together to complete your booklet.
