What We Do
S.T.A.R. (Students Together against Racism) is a proactive anti-racist organization.
Northern Kentucky University students created S.T.A.R. to address issues and concerns involving
racism and ethnocentrism on NKU's campus and surrounding communities.
S.T.A.R. works to change campus policies as well as addressing issues in the campus community.
S.T.A.R. is a united body of students who stand together in the process of undoing racism.
S.T.A.R. works toward the end of prejudice and hate. S.T.A.R. organizes against institutional
racism. Members make life commitments to be anti-racist leaders in the classroom, workplaces,
with family and friends, throughout the rest of their lives.
