Cryptanalysis Tools is a program I designed for my Honors 304: Cryptology
class at NKU in Spring of 2004. It is a program
designed to help create and break simple ciphers, so it is aimed more towards fellow
cryptology students and cryptoquip/puzzle enthusiasts than towards those interested
in high-security encryption (most can be created and solved by hand, although that
can take a very long time for cipher methods such as Vigenère). These are definitely
not secure methods for encryption, but they are fun to create and break. I
started working on this project in January of 2004. It is a fun and interesting
project, and I definitely welcome any ideas or suggestions on how to improve it.
In future versions, I hope to add more ciphers, possibly including some public
key cryptology such as RSA or Blowfish. I also hope to add tools to help solve
transposition ciphers, more options to customize the program, a completed help file,
sorting of data, 'cipher guessing wizard', and much more. |
This program is a work-in-progress, so many menus and options aren't available yet.
And of course nothing is guaranteed to work ^^. I hope some people will find it
helpful, and I'll try to frequently update it as I have time to do so. Here is the
list of features so far:
Here is the link to download the program:
Cryptanalysis.zip
Just unzip it to your computer and run the EXE file. Any questions, comments, or
if you find anything wrong with it, then you can email me at:

and I'll be happy to help in any way I can.
