Resources
Here are some resources for the Christian. This is just a list of sites we have run across and found useful. We hope you find something useful here too. You should note that Christian Student Fellowship does not necessarily endorse all the contents of any of these sites. We have tried to provide a bit of introduction to each link, but don't take our word for it - go have a look for yourself.
Free Bible programs
There is a lot of good, FREE Bible study software. Here are some you might find useful:
E-Sword, found at: www.e-sword.org.
Bible Explorer 4, found at: http://www.bible-explorer.com/ for your free download. Be sure to get all the extras, too. Here at CSF we have added some material for this program that you probably can't find anywhere else. Contact us csf@nku.edu if you would like these additional items.
NET Bible, available at:
Bible.org.
While CSF does not necessarily endorse everything found at this site,
their version is very nice. You can use it online, or download it
for free. Beyond that, they have a large collection of articles,
some very scholarly, about the Bible.
The Sword
Project, located at:
http://www.crosswire.org/sword/software/index.jsp
BPBible, found at: http://bpbible.com/
Stand to Reason - The focus of this group is understanding and defending the Christian faith. While some would dissent from some of the views here, there is much good material, especially if you have practical questions about Christianity.
Access Research Network - This is one home of the "intelligent design" people. If you haven't read a Philip Johnson book, you should try one.
Philosophy of Religion.info - Do you have a philosophic bent of mind? If you do, you might enjoy this place where philosophy and theology meet.
Leadership University - Looking for a whole cyber-library of good articles on all sorts of topics of interest to Christians? This is the place.
Debar - You will find all sorts of interesting material archived here.
Intercollegiate Studies Institute - This is a good source for resources in many of the humanities. See especially their journal, all the issues of which are on-line going back to 1965. Some articles in these are by very famous authors.
Campus Magazine Online - interesting articles on all sorts of subjects, all written by college students from around the world. While not always explicitly Christian, this publication is definitely Christianity-compatible. Check it out.
Institute on Religions and Democracy - see what is happening on the politics and religion front across denominations.
God's Yellow Pages - this is fun, and you might find it helpful. It lists problems and questions with links to appropriate Bible sections. While undoubtedly over-simplified, it is an interesting idea.
