Officers serve during a calendar year.  Officers for the next calendar year are elected at the December monthly meeting.  To become a candidate and run for office, one needs to be a current member and be nominated by a fellow member.  Officers must also hold a student affiliate membership in ACS.  Only current members can vote during elections. Voting is done by secret ballot and are tallied by the current president and faculty advisor.
